In 1987, a significant privatization effort reshaped the Dutch radio and television broadcasting landscape, leading to the formation of the NOB (Nederlandse Omroep Bedrijven) production company. Studio Dumbar was invited to participate in a competitive pitch and ultimately emerged as the chosen agency to craft a distinctive visual identity for this new entity. The NOB is particularly renowned for its extensive fleet of outside broadcast vehicles, which are a ubiquitous presence whenever and wherever noteworthy events occur in the Netherlands, ensuring that these happenings are broadcasted for all to see. Studio Dumbar’s work played a pivotal role in giving the NOB a recognizable and compelling “face” in the broadcasting industry.
