Year:1972 | Project: Quantas Poster

Quantas, the Australian national airline, engaged the talents of 20 designers from countries within its flight network, tasking them with creating a poster based on a set of criteria: design a poster that prominently features distinct attributes of your homeland while incorporating the phrase “where time flies.”

In response, I crafted a papier-mâché object that took the form of a grand clock. Poised atop this timepiece is a traveler, evoking the act of journeying through time. I situated this intricate piece within a pastoral Dutch countryside, complete with the quintessential backdrop of iconic Dutch windmills, against which the object came to life.

This artistic creation encapsulates not only the sense of time’s passage but also the essence of the destination, embodying the notion of “where time flies” within a picturesque and culturally resonant landscape.
